Mustang Coaches
Carrie is the BVSW Boys' Head Swim Coach and an assistant coach for the BVSW Girls' team. This is her sixth year coaching at BVSW. Prior to coaching in Blue Valley she was the head coach of the Atchison Blue Waves. Carrie is a former competitive swimmer and specializes in perfecting strokes and mental focus. She is also a school counselor for the Blue Valley School District. Carrie has coached many of our high school-aged Mustangs and is so excited to be a part of the in the longstanding Mustang tradition of swimming hard and having FUN!
Sara grew up in Henderson, Nevada - just outside of Las Vegas but has never gambled. Instead of gambling, she spent her time swimming lots of laps for her high school swim team. While in college at Brigham Young University, she was a lifeguard at the university pool and taught swimming lessons. For the past 20 years, she has continued to teach swimming lessons and is so excited to return to the Mills Farm Mustangs for her eighth year of coaching. Swimming with her own kids is one of her favorite things to do. Her daughter Brooke also swims for the Mustangs. Sara loves working with children of all ages and has a degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University.
We have SIX of our 2023 graduates back as Assistant Coaches this summer. They've all been Mustangs since they were itty-bitty swimmers, and they're ecstatic to be back to coach!
