Practice Schedule

Practice begins Tuesday, May 27 and concludes Friday, July 11.

*FLEX is meant to be an alternative practice to attend if you have something going on during your normal practice time (camps, sports practice etc.). Because there could be a variety of different age groups attending, it may not be as ideal as practicing with your peers, but it's a great substitute when needed! (Ponies should not attend FLEX; it will be too hard!) FLEX practice may be a little shorter as they have to get lane lines in first.

A couple of changes for this year:

• FLEX morning practice time: available to any swimmer who can’t make their regular time due to camps, jobs etc.
• No Dives & Turns: With our large team, these optional practices were over-crowded and chaotic. We are planning some smaller dives & turns clinics this summer.
• 13-14 and 15-18 are two separate practices. With the largest teen group ever, we just ran out of room in the pool for all of them!
• Ponies: our Ponies moved to the 9:45-10:30am slot – this was the only time we had room to fit them in the pool! Like last year, Ponies are not expected to attend every day – they can pick and choose which practices work best with their schedule.

Practice Groups are based on Swimmer Ages/League Age Groups. Some exceptions can be made with Team Manager/Coach approval as space and ability allow. Swimmers whose age is different than their school peers will be given first priority to move to a different practice groups so that they can practice with their peers.

Come to practice prepared! Please bring the following equipment to each practice:

• goggles
• swim cap (if using one)
• towel
• water bottle
• bathing suit (no bikinis, dressed and ready to go)
• GREAT attitude!

PLEASE label all items!! 

The Mustangs may cancel practice due to inclement weather. This decision will be made by Managers and Coaches based on the weather we are experiencing or expecting. If practice is cancelled, a communication will be sent out to parents/swimmers via email or text message and will be posted on the Homepage.

If lightning is spotted at a practice, the pool will be cleared and swimmers will remain out of the pool for at least 30 minutes. The practice schedule will continue as published unless communicated otherwise.
