It’s our last week and we do it up BIG! Lots of things happening this week, so please read all the way through…

TONIGHT (Sunday) – Last Volunteer Sign-up

There will be THREE separate volunteer sign-up opportunities on the website tonight:

• Championships (LOTS of jobs)
• Family Movie Night (3 jobs)
• A Splash of Orange Party (8 jobs)

Signups are located under their specific event on the Team Calendar. There are three separate signups.

All families must earn (or be signed up for) six credits in order for swimmers to participate in Champs and return to the Mustangs in subsequent years. Thanks for volunteering to make our team awesome!

MONDAY – Teen Night

7:15-8:15pm practice (both age groups 13/14 and 15-18). Last chance to earn your MERC t-shirt!

8:15-10pm “Floating” movie – bring your favorite tube, air mattress or float and enjoy dinner and a movie!

WEDNESDAY – Family Movie & Food Truck Night 

Since we don’t have a dual meet on Wednesday evening, we’ve planned a family movie night on the fields at TCE. This event is open to the entire neighborhood so grab a neighbor and bring ‘em up!  BYOB (beverage and blanket!).  Dessert food trucks will arrive at 7:30 pm and a family movie will begin at 8:45pm. Restrooms are available inside TCE.

FRIDAY – Champs Sendoff Practice

It’s a Mustang tradition to build an obstacle course for our last practice before Champs to send our swimmers off in style!  This year, we're adding our (3x rescheduled) FOAM PARTY too! To make all of this work, we need to change our practice times for Friday.

Friday Practice Times (foam party to follow all practices):

8U – 9:30AM

9/10 – 10AM

11/12 – 10:30AM

Teens – 11AM

No dives & turns on Friday!

SATURDAY – SSA Championships!!!

10&Under Swimmers – 8am-12pm

11&Up Swimmers – 12pm-4pm

Coaches Relay @ 12pm

*Exact arrival and warm-up times will be communicated later this week

SUNDAY – ‘A Splash of Orange’ Banquet

6-9pm @ BVSW – walk the “orange” carpet and take pics starting at 6pm. Dinner begins at 6:30 and awards & recognition program to follow. We end the evening with our 2022 season video!

Attire: White with a “splash” of orange

We so look forward to celebrating ALL of our swimmers at this event!

Lessons

This last week before Champs is a great time to fine-tune your swimmer's skills and technique.  Don't hesitate to reach out to any of our awesome coaches. (Note that Coach Grant is in Spain, so not available!)
