Mills Farm vs. Lionsgate (at Home)

It’s no secret, we love our home meets! The fun, the music, the ORANGE everywhere…it’s the best!

Swimmer Arrival: 4:20pm

Swimmer Warm-Up: 4:30pm

Meet Begins: 5:30pm

Swimmers’ arms should be marked and names on back shoulder before arriving.

Concessions will be Chick-fil-A food truck, plus a variety of offerings like fruit, nuts, candy, popsicles, chips and drinks at our concession stand. Chick-fil-A does take credit cards from their food truck, but the Mills Farm stand (for all other items) is cash only!

Swim Caps

No other caps except Mills Farm caps can be worn during our meet. We took a little bit of heat for this last week, especially with older swimmers wearing their high school caps. If you need extra Mills Farm caps, we have them for sale!  

Alumni Homecoming

It's Homecoming...swim style! This week we invite all our past Mustangs back to be celebrated! If you know of someone, please have them reach out to Lindsay or Heidi. They get dinner, a shout out, and can participate in the alumni relay if they want!

Race Etiquette

We share this with our swimmers but wanted to share with you too…we ask our swimmers to do two things at the end of every race:

• Stay in the pool until every swimmer in the heat has finished. (For relays, this only applies to the last swimmer.)
• Say “good swim” or “good job” or fist bump swimmers next to you – they may or may not return the sentiment, and that’s ok!

Not all teams will do this, but it’s a Mills Farm tradition and we love it! 

Kickboards for 10&U Backstroke Head Protection

If you have a new swimmer who is nervous about hitting his/her head in the backstroke, we will have orange kickboards available to hold against the ledge of the pool during the meet. You can grab one and ask a timer in their lane or coach to hold it for your swimmer! These kickboards will be located on the rock ledge right above the lane line spool.

Parent Seating at Our Home Meets

Mills Farm sits anywhere marked in orange. Please do not save spots for the meet before 3pm when the pool closes. Security will move chairs aside prior to 3pm. We highly recommend the upper deck seating right outside the gate for best view!

Meet Parking

Parking is NUTS for our home meets, so if you can walk, ride a bike etc. that would be awesome. If you need to park, please obey all No Parking signs. Parking is a common complaint from neighbors not on the swim team and we really want to respect and keep them happy!

Team Swim Records

We’ve had several kids ask where they can see our team and league swim records. They are always on our website, and we recognize all record breakers at the end-of-season banquet! We already had several records broken at last week’s meet!

Teen Night – Monday at 7:30PM

All 13&up swimmers are welcome for swim, dinner & a movie on the pool deck! Dinner is Chick-fil-A this week!

Team Song!

Every year the team picks a song for the summer. We play it during warm-ups and meets and it always makes an appearance in our end-of-season video. If you (or your swimmer) has any good ideas, please reply to this email! Kids will vote on Tuesday!
