Week 5: Our LAST Home Meet!
Hi all! How are we already in Week 5? It's no secret, we love our home meets the most, and we like to go out with a BANG (literally!) This week marks our last home meet + senior night + our GLOW party. Here's everything you need to know!
Mills Farm vs. Loch Lloyd
Swimmer Arrival: 4:20pm
Swimmer Warm-Up: 4:30pm
Meet Begins: 5:30pm (Senior Night portion will begin a few minutes early)
Swimmers’ arms should be marked and names on back shoulder before arriving.
Concessions will be Taco Republic and Paige's Shaved Ice.
STREET TACOS - $4.50
- OLD SCHOOL
ground beef, potatoes, spinach, cheddar & jack cheeses, pico de gallo - FELIZ
shredded chicken, jalapeño purée, cheddar & jack cheeses, cilantro, onions
- CHIPS & SALSA $2.00
- Small Queso Jose $5.00
- Small Guac $5.00
We will also have a variety of offerings like fruit, nuts, candy, popsicles, chips and drinks at our concession stand. Remember our stand is cash only!
GLOW PARTY
Immediately after the freestyle relay, DJ Scoby will turn the music up and we'll throw a zillion glow sticks and tubes in the pool. Kids get 30 minutes to party it up and celebrate the last home meet! IMPORTANT: Kids cannot stay without a parent present. Thank you for understanding!
4th of July Week Practice
We DO have practice next week, every day EXCEPT Tuesday the 4th. There is no meet on Wednesday night, July 5.
SSA Championships - Saturday, July 15
Our league championships are on Saturday, July 15. All swimmers who participated in at least two meets this season are eligible -- you do not have to "qualify" for champs. We HIGHLY encourage all swimmers to attend; it is really the pinnacle of our season and is so much fun for the kids. For many, it is their first meet in a "professional" swim facility (Shawnee Mission Aquatic Center). 10 & Under kiddos swim in the AM, 11+ kids swim in the afternoon.
'A Splash of Orange' End-of-Season Party - Sunday, July 16
RSVP and other details coming next week, but wanted you to mark your calendars! This is where we celebrate all our swimmers, give out awards & best time certificates for all swimmers and take our huge "family" photo (indoors this year, we promise!)
Location: Blue Valley Southwest Commons
Attire: White with a "splash" of orange!
Time: 6-9pm, includes dinner
