HOW ABOUT THOSE CHIEFS?!?! (And how about that Mustang representation on the podium -- check out our own Maverick in the lower right wearing #95!)

We know many are beginning to plan summer camps and vacations, so wanted to get out the scheduling info we have so far:

Important Dates

Practices begin - May 28 (assuming no more snow days and school is out!)

Championships - Saturday, July 13 

Banquet - Sunday, July 14 evening

No meet during 4th of July week, but we will still practice (except the 4th)

We don't know exact practice times yet.  We're trying to squeeze in some time for a pre-comp team, so working out those details.  We expect to have a final practice schedule after spring break. It is safe to assume all practices will end by noon.

WANTED: Mustang Board Member & Treasurer

The Mustangs operate under a Board of Directors, and we're looking for a new Director! We promise, this Board is friendly and fun -- we only meet 4x per year.  The Board's primary purpose is to set the strategic direction for the team and team managers, govern the registration and waitlist process, and provide oversight to the budgeting and spending of team fees. 

We are also looking for a Treasurer.  Duties include budgeting, tracking, paying staff, overall spending oversight and filing 1099 forms (our current treasurer will help train you!). The Treasurer also sits on the Board of Directors as a voting member. Accepting this position fulfills your volunteer credits for the season -- it is a good amount of work, but you don't have do volunteer shifts in 95 degree heat!

WANTED: Team Manager(s)

Heidi is stepping down from day-to-day manager duties this summer (but still helping!)...Lindsay is still on board. With that, we think it's smart to begin looking for the next team manager(s) -- as it's helpful to have a year or two "in training". Ideally, it's a pair of people who work well together and can devote a good amount of time to the job for our 6-7 week season, as well as some time planning and getting ready throughout the year. It is truly the most rewarding volunteer position out there!
