Hi everyone! Hope you had a wonderful spring break. Welcome to the Mustangs! If you are receiving this, we have processed your registration and are so happy you’re planning to swim with us this summer!

Assessments for New Swimmers

If your swimmer is new to the Mustangs, s/he must pass a swim assessment. Swimmers will need to swim freestyle and backstroke within our time requirements to make the team. Swimmers can try as many times as they want during the assessment.

Sunday, March 24 – 6:30-8pm @ BVSW pool

Sunday, April 21 – 6:30-8pm @ BVSW pool

Most swimmers need some practice/lessons before being able to meet these requirements. Please let us know if your swimmer needs some extra encouragement that evening.  Our coaches and swimmers are on hand to help!

Swimsuit Fitting/Ordering – ALL TEAM MEMBERS

All swimmers will need to purchase a new team suit this year. Swimmers can be fitted and order team suits at one of our assessments or go to Swim Quik on their own. All orders must be in by April 25.

Volunteer Sign-Up

Parent volunteer shifts open for sign up on May 15. Each family must earn 6 volunteer “points” at our swim meets – some shifts are worth one point, some are worth two – based on how long the job takes. You will sign up for all your points on May 15.

We do have some volunteer jobs available that do not require working during a swim meet. You can sign up for these today! (Hint: most of them don’t involve working outside in 90 degree weather!)

Practice Schedule

We will have the practice schedule out by end of March! All practices will end by noon.

Pre-competitive Team - The Ponies!

If you have friends or neighbors who are not quite ready for swim team, please share pre-compete program...the Mills Farm Ponies!

• Ages 4-10
• Practices 2-3x per week (May 28-July 12)
• Swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool independently (any stroke); no time requirement
• Practices with Mills Farm Mustangs Coaches
• Culminates with one mock swim meet, cheered on by our Mustangs

Fee: $225
