Week 4: Our first AWAY meet!
Happy Father's Day to all the awesome dads on our team! Hard to believe this week marks the mid-point of our season, but a quick look at our swimmers' times shows they have been working incredibly hard. We had so many personal best ribbons last week, we realized we are going to run out before the season is over (and quickly ordered more!)
We also noticed a huge difference in the number of DQ's we received last week vs. our first meet which tells us our swimmers are learning quickly!
Swimming aside, this is what we love the most:

Here's everything you need to know about our meet on Wednesday vs. NFS:
Swimmer Arrival: 4:45pm
Swimmer Warm-Up: 5pm
Meet Begins: 5:30pm
Location: 8700 W. 141st St. (141st and Antioch)
Swimmers’ arms should be marked and names on back shoulder before arriving.
IMPORTANT PARKING INFO: Please drop your kiddos at the pool and then find a spot. Parking is tough and you will end up walking a bit. Please obey all 'No Parking' signs, the Overland Park police patrol parking at this meet and often give tickets.
Coach Carrie on vacation...surprise GUEST head coach on Wednesday!
Coach Carrie is on the trip of a lifetime to Greece and Italy this week (and part of next). Our Assistant Coaches have already done an amazing job of stepping up to cover for her at practice. We also have a very special surprise coach coming to cheer us on for Wednesday's meet...who will it be? We can't wait!

We use these photos in the end-of-season slide show and video, plus the yearbook, so the more we have the better!
Yearbook Update
Those of you who ordered a yearbook last year might be wondering...where the heck is it?! We had some issues with our yearbook volunteer finishing everything, but Jessica Peltzer stepped in and has it almost complete! She has also agreed to do this year's yearbook and is hard at work on that. Stay tuned for more info (and orders for this year). If you see Jessica, give her a high five!

Record Breakers!!
Congrats to these swimmers who have already broken Mustang records this season! We have a long tradition of FAST swimmers, so breaking these records is an amazing accomplishment.
